What’s Due on Thursday Jan 19th at 8:00am:

1. Read PaperWings: Are You a Dreamer or a Doer?
2. Create an Art-Blog (at the very minimum, create a custom header image)
3. Post the blog address to your profile on GoStudio (under: Blog)
4. Post your first blog entry to your blog—answer two questions: where are you on the Dreamer/Doer spectrum (why) and what area(s) of Media Arts are you going to test-drive (have you ever produced an animation/cinematic/photography masterpiece? What are your goals for this course? What will be your accomplishment?)? Include at least one image of your own art (what are you proud of?).

Columbus Museum of Art Auditorium at 8:15am on Thursday December 15th (special thanks to Tom for arranging this awesome venue for us!). Everyone will present their final revision of Project Duncan (there are 56 enrolled students, so this averages to 3 minutes per person—we will give you a signal at 3 minutes. Some of you might need a few more minutes than others).

All work has to be presented via your blog (no peripherals)

Lockers are available for backpacks and please, no food or drink in the auditorium (there are also lockers in the Media Arts labs, but you need to bring your own lock). Refer to the Visitor’s Guide for any questions.

Andrew McCauley, current MFA student at CCAD, needs help with animation. Probably would be a two to three hour commitment… please contact him directly if you are interested in helping (plus, you get to hang out in the new MFA space!)

We will all meet on Tuesday November 8th at 9:30am in KH 309 for Duncan’s presentation (the next, and last project of D4M will be explained!)

Student Proposed Project—this can be the continuation of your previous assignment or a whole new project. Whatever you want as long as it is a complete project (not just one part of a larger idea).

Project Proposals Due Thursday 10^th at 8:00am (posted to your blog)

Proposals MUST include a schedule of what you will deliver week-by-week. This schedule can be as simple as a weekly list of deliverables or as complex as a pert / gantt chart. Your weekly grade will be based on whether or not you delivered what you promised… For a three credit course, you should be producing 6 hours of (or the illusion of) work each week.

The final deliverable is due Thursday December 15^th at 8:00am
